Lacoux is a small village of 40 inhabitants perched on the edge of the plateau of Hauteville, a mountainside. Lacoux is a remarkable site that overlooks the Valley Albarine. Ø Contemporary Art Center : In the early seventies Two local artists, and Fred Two Cécile Reims, decide to start a site dedicated to modern, far from major urban museums and galleries. The Contemporary Art Center Lacoux or CACL, settles in 1972 the former mayor of the village-town school, dating from the late nineteenth century. Desks, blackboards and chalk have disappeared, giving way to two hundred square meters of exhibition on two levels. If leaving the center rose only one or two art projects each year, it now offers between four and five. The exhibition themes are always in phase with the actuality of contemporary art.
