to see in the Neyrolles :

Ø Cliff climbing : 20 channels.

Ø Lake Sylans : At 5 km east of Ingalls, the DR 1084, a landslide has created Lake Sylans by blocking the source of Doye. West side, stand the ruins of the old factory coolers, which marketed the ice taken from the lake (up to 40 cm thick ice) until 1917. Today it is a paradise for fishermen. Guided tours by Sylvain Poncet, mountain guide. Tel. : 04 74 75 52 30 74 33 06 or 06 37 or poncet.sylvain @ libertysurf.fr.

Ø coolers Sylans : It was in 1864 that Mr. Joachim Moinat, owner of Cafe du Paradis Nantua (whose sign is still at No. 58 rue du Docteur Mercier) conceived the idea of exploiting the ice of Lake Sylans to refresh the drinks of his customers. The site is ideal thanks to a harsh climate and low levels of sunshine. More lake water is clean and quiet, and produces a crystal clear ready for consumption. What remains today of this remarkable heritage are only ruins, wall panels, some beams, reinforced concrete slab gradually eroded by abundant vegetation. The site is accessible on foot via the western end of the lake, but it is unwise and dangerous to venture too close to the stones that threaten to fall. However, restorations are underway and we already helped rediscover what could be warehouses.

Ø Building Museum on the A40 : Museum devoted to the construction of the highway that traces the historical giants of the 7 years of work and presents the gigantic works (tunnels, viaducts, difficult issues ...).
Access: towards Geneva, exit 9 (Sylans). No access in the direction Geneva-Macon. Open all year from 9 to 19h. Free admission.

Ø Site number the source and the gorge of Doye.

Ø Site registered Bog Colliard.
